GREETINGS

there are various different resistance movements. we are interested in the one that drills us from the inside and wants to get out. the movement of the screaming body. a movement that can bring relief, but also change. we need a healthy body and inner strength to change anything. we don't want to suppress our emotions. we want to dance them out, and we also want to mark our disagreement. and in addition, we want to financially support organizations that save lives on the polish-belarusian border.

we invite you to the greetings version of a performative-movement protest. we encourage creations expressing our attitude towards the situation in the border zone. instead of banners, let's paint slogans of protest on our bodies or clothes. the meeting will be recorded and the recordings will be available online.

 

“greetings” is a safe space for free dance and movement. it is a time when we come together to celebrate, welcome and tame the new. we improvise, experiment and explore. we explore somatic sensations and those coming from the environment of sounds, images and smells. we twirl, sway, fall and jump. through breath and movement, we seek the full symbiosis of body and mind. we are taken on a musical journey through various rhythms. we enter into full bliss. from contemplative stillness through increasingly energetic tempo to trance and technosomatic experiences. 

you don't have to know how to dance to participate! (whatever that means to you) all you need to do is come and allow yourself to be immersed in the experience.

 

the first "greetings" took place at the 15th edition of the body/mind festival in 2016. since then we have danced at various festivals (including tribalanga, wild is beautiful or zubroffka, body/mind 2021). regular greetings were also held at the common table as part of the project “common table - a place for local activity” in cooperation with the free speech zone, at zimba academy and in the open air (skaryszewski park, saska beach).
