WSPOLPRACOWNIA
an educational and artistic space for exchange, warsaw co_work started in the first moment after letting hard lockdown in the closed groups (due to pandemics), collaborating, sharing ideas for movements, dances in the open jam formulas, learning the technique which supports both: mental and physical health in life and studio space. currently developing through organizing the topics related to the contemporary dance field: instant composition, movement classes, release technique, partnering, contact improvisation, play-fight and so on.
co_workshop is an educational project, giving you a deeper insight into the world of contemporary dance. we want to show its accessibility and openness, to different bodies, ages, ways of thinking and expressions. for us, this is a project about collaboration and exchange, in which we teach and gain knowledge at the same time, in which every participant is an essential element, and in which we can develop ourselves. we are interested in an ongoing, regular process, thinking about dance as a practice and building a supportive and driving community.
for us it is a project about collaboration and exchange, in which we teach and gain knowledge at the same time, in which every participant is an essential element, in which we can develop ourselves, in which we break down concepts of acting alone and in ‘our own name’. in terms of dance, we consider practice as a space for the study, analysis and regular practice of contemporary dance. this name currently includes two groups with different levels and profiles, both of which form a series of classes in process. we would like to think of the contemporary dance studio as a complementary structure where you can meet two close but different approaches to movement and dance, with two personalities and two different bodies. we are interested in an ongoing, regular process, thinking of dance as a practice and building a supportive and driving community.
- ciałokształty / bodyshapes - summer regular gatherings (july/august) - tune-in with summer, long-days energy, where we aim to charge the group with collective ideas such as broadness of contemporary dance, where qualities of fruitfulness and play meet each other
- pauza / pause - winter regular meetings (february) - tune-in with winter, cold season in which we pay attention to care, qualities of slowing down, finding more time to rest within group activities being offered
- regular classes - organized with coda movement studio (warsaw) in collaboration with dancers agnieszka sikorska and aleksandra nowakowska based on structure: 1 class per week / 3h long, where each one of us dives into movement research with group of dancers
